Bar Le Vegas is the hidden gem of the Montreal area. Located on the South Shore, it doesn’t have the same kind of walk-up business as any clubs or bars downtown, but it doesn’t need it. On any given Saturday night, you can expect to wait outside untill there’s enough room to get in, and it’s worth the wait.
Generally speaking, I think strip clubs can be filed away into two categories. There are the dives where the girls look mostly sad and the men pretty seedy, and there are the ritzy clubs where everything is overpriced and intimidating. What I like about Vegas is that it apeals to the common person while still having a very high level of service. It’s clientel ranges from college folk just looking for a good time right to businessmen looking to relax. Noone looks creepy and everyone is having a great time, and I think that’s due to the focus of the club.
Vegas is a contact club, but it’s real draw is the stage shows. Almost all of the girls are outstanding, and most of them know how to dance really well. From time to time they even get a showgirl type who can really set the place on fire. It’s good to know that you can go to this place and enjoy it for not just the nudity and costly lap dances, but really exquisite dancing. Many of my female friends love going just to see the shows these girls put on. This place rivals Kama Sutra, which has probably the most athletic dancers, but it surpasses it by having girls who look like they are honestly having a blast.
What’s better is that the prices are reasonable enough that you don’t feel like you’ve paid to go to a strip club. Locations downtown will often charge as much as $11 for a mixed drink. Vegas charges around $5 for local beers, $5.75 for imports and under $7 for most mixed drinks. The cover is cheap too at only $3. Should you decide to want the company of one of the girls in private, dances are $10 a song (downtown clubs charge $15) and you can go to the VIP area to keep a girl for 30 to 60 minutes at an even better rate.
The downside of this club is it’s popularity. On a weeknight it is generally comfortable, but the place is usually packed on Friday and Saturdays, so clients can get packed in there pretty tight. If all you’re looking for is some quick nudity, it may not always be worth the trip as it can be out of the way, and sometimes uncomfortable for how busy it is.
On the upside, the girls are plentiful and mostly very beautiful, so there shouldn’t be a lack of any to chose from. There are regular dancers of course, the usual turnover of fresh new faces, and the occasional showgirl guest stars. If you’re really looking for an evening out with friends with a good show, I can’t recommend this place enough.
