Zombieland – Review

Zombieland

A movie made about a not to distant future of ours that captures the one main fantasy, bring back Bill Murray as the great comedian he is.

The movie starts out with a Michael Cera look-a-like explaining to us how zombies became to be. It was an outbreak of a certain medicine and started to spread throughout the world. Maybe this was the vaccine for Swine flu. As the movie progresses, the lead role explains to us his basic rules of survival and how being a loner in life survived the outbreak.

Once the introductions are over, the movie slowly introduces Tallahassee and Wichita. Once everyone establishes their roles in the movie, it breaks into a zombie killing story. It is your typical survive or die zombie movie but with a comedy twist of living. Well considering you are one of the last males to live, looking at life on the bright side must be hard to do.

One great aspect to the movie is the fact the out of all the celebrities houses to stay in, they choose Bill Murray. As they are enjoying themselves in his house, a Bill Murray zombie appears but is really himself. They break into several Ghostbusters scenes as they are trying to hype a possible movie.

The comedy is classic and woody Haralson was perfect for the role and seeing him act this well is rare. Emma stone is increasing her popularity in films as being the hard to get chick that breaks in the end. Overall a great movie but will be filing the bottom of a bargain bin in 3-5 years.
